iPhone 12, iMac listed in EEC database
Apple is expected to launch its next generation iPhone 12 in fall this year. Ahead of the official launch, numerous reports have detailed the specs and features that are expected to make their way to the final device. Now, a new report says that the upcoming iPhones are listed in the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) database.
According to a report by 9To5 Mac, the iPhone 12 model identifiers listed in the EEC database include A2176, A2172, A2341, A2342, A2403, A2407, A2408 and A2411. These iPhones are listed as running on the iOS 13. Apple, as per the report submits the same iPhone modes with different software specifications. So, it is possible that these model identifiers are associated with iOS in future.
Apple is expected to launch four new SKUs this year. The list includes a 5.4-inch model and a 6.1-inch model with a dual rear camera setup, and a 6.1-inch model and a 6.7-inch model with a triple-rear camera setup and LiDAR sensor.
In addition to the iPhone 12 model, the report says that Apple is also expected to launch a new iMac model this year. The device is listed with model identifier A2330 and running on macOS 10.15 on the EEC database.
Interestingly, the new report comes just days after tipster Sonny Dickson tweeted that the company could launch a new iMac with iPad Pro like thin bezels, T2 chip and AMD Navi GPU at WWDC 2020. Apple hasn’t confirmed anything yet. But we will find out the details when the company hosts its annual developers conference between June 22 and June 26 later this month.
